BI-POLAR No name wecould agree upon was descriptive enough to do justice to the incredible sound of our four-way, six-driver per channel bi-polar unit, so we ended up simply calling it the Bi-Polar. Only for the audiophile obsessed with capturing the subtlest nuances of live presence sound and eliminating any trace of distortion, the Bi-Polar is neither compact nor inexpensive. You will need a spacious -living room and a fistful of dollars. Any comparable system will cost you five times as much (many high-end companies make a few dozen or so such systems of this magnitude). You will never need to trade up again.

The satellite panel's twelve (12) pound crossover network apportions the sound
among its tweeter, midrange and two (2) midbass drivers and shunts the deep bass,
down to earth-shaking frequencies that can be felt, not just heard by humans,
over to the mammoth subwoofer. The only possible improvement you could make to this system would be the addition of a surround-sound system for even greater dimensionality (for which we recommend our Campanile, though a lesser speaker would suffice). With or without embellishment, the Advanced Sound Bi-Polar will give you Holographic Sound™ you will hear -- feel -- and almost see. For the money, this is the best speaker in the world - pole to pole. |
The dimensionality is so accurate you can sit next to one speaker and pick out individual instruments on the other side of the room. You will hear the fingering of the frets in the string section, intake of breath in the winds, people rustling beside you in the audience: a true Soundscape. The Bi-Polar maximizes the efficiency of its Sine- Synchronized( four-driver satellite panel by utilizing the displacement of both the cones' incursion and excursion (their sonic poles). The Bi-Polar's extended wing on one side and the enclosed two-driver subwoofer with its built-in powered amplifier on the other delay the travel of the rearside sine waves to keep them in phase. For the best effect, the Bi-Polar should be two (2) to three (3) feet from your rear wall, which becomes part of your sound system. |
